How can I save money on my electricity with Verde Energy USA?
We have developed a very efficient system to purchase energy and thus are able to provide electricity to our customers at a lower cost than the local utility companies. Typical savings for our residential customers can range from $100 to $400 or more annually and typical savings for our business customer can range from $600 to $2,200 or more annually depending on usage. Billing, Service and Account Questions
How will I be billed?
You will be billed exactly as you always have been by your local utility company. The only difference you’ll see on your electric bill is that Verde Energy USA will be listed on your bill as your electricity supplier and our lower cost electrical rates will be used in your billing.
Will my electrical service be interrupted during the transition to Verde Energy USA?
No. You will experience no change in service whatsoever. The only difference you’ll see is in your electric bill is that Verde Energy USA will be listed on your bill as your electricity supplier and our lower cost electrical rates will be used in your billing.
Will my utility company shut me down or make trouble when they hear I switched suppliers?
No. The utility companies are required by law to comply with your choice as to who you buy your electricity from.
Will my local utility company continue to service my account?
Yes, nothing will change in terms of receiving your electricity or any customer service. You will continue to receive one bill for electricity each month from your local utility company and only have to write one check (which will continue to be made out to your utility company). You will see Verde Energy USA listed on your bill as your electricity supplier and our lower cost electrical rates will be used in your billing. Your local utility will continue to read your meter and make any necessary repairs.
Who do I call if my power goes out?
You should call your local utility company if your power goes out or you have any other service issues. For your reference the toll free number for Connecticut utilities are: CL&P 800-286-2000 and UI 800-676-7052; in New Jersey: ACE 800-833-7476, JCP&L 800-662-3115 and PSE&G 800-4369-7734; and in Pennsylvania: PPL 800-342-5775
What happens if I move my home or business?
If you plan to move your home or business within the state Verde Energy USA can continue to provide your electricity at our low rate. Please contact us at service@lowcostpower.com and we will help you manage your account during the move.

Does Verde Energy USA offer a renewable energy option?
Our standard electric offer is based on the use of 14% renewable energy sources in Connecticut, 8% in New Jersey and 9% in Pennsylvania. We plan to offer other renewable energy options in the future. On this website, we also provide information on renewable energy and insights into how customers can reduce their overall energy usage.

Why haven’t I heard about utility deregulation before?

Selecting us as your electrical supplier is easy and risk free. You simply need to provide your address information and some basic customer information from your monthly utility bill. Does it cost anything to switch to Verde Energy USA and do I need to sign a contract?
There is no cost to select us as your electrical supplier and you do not need to sign a contract. Selecting Verde Energy USA is an easy, almost effortless way to save money on your electrical bill.
Can I change my electrical supplier again at a later date?
Yes you will still have the right to choose another electrical supplier in the future. We are committed to providing our customers with significant savings and high quality service and are confident that you will stay with us as a customer for the long-term.
What if I want to quit service with Verde Energy USA?
If you want to quit receiving low cost power from Verde Energy USA all you have to do is contact our customer service team at service@lowcostpower.com or call us at 800-388-3862.
